Dongle emulator is a software copy of original hardware key that
allows working with software without key attached to computer
Using dongle emulator instead of hardware key give you many benefits:
- Dongle emulator cannot be lost, broken or stolen
- Dongle can be installed on a few computers so it
is not necessary to switch anything when you go
from one place to another
- Dongle emulator makes your software running faster
- Dongle emulator solves problem of printers those
don't work with dongles
- Dongle emulator doesn't depend on hardware you use
2. Setting up new installation
=============================
Emulator works with only original dongle drivers.
You must install original dongle drivers (take it from http://www.rainbow.com)
and have administrator privileges at your system for installing the
emulator.
1. Close all copies of your application which you can run under emulator
2. Run instnt-new.bat.
Agree with acknowledgement to enter data into registry.
It looks like that:
\Emu> instnt-new.bat
The platform is Winnt
The major version is 5
The minor version is 0
Stopping driver entry... Failed <-- Status OK or Failed doesnt mean error
Deleting driver entry... Failed <-- Status OK or Failed doesnt mean error
1 file(s) copied.
1 file(s) copied.
Press any key to continue . . . <-- Press any key
The platform is Winnt
The major version is 5
The minor version is 1
Creating driver entry... OK <-- Here must be OK
Starting driver... OK <-- And here

After that emulator will start after starting up your system
3. Reboot the computer
3. Repairing existing installation
================================================
sometimes you need to reinstall dongle emulator. You can make it by
running instnt-upd.bat
1. instnt-upd.bat
\Emu> instnt-upd.bat

The minor version is 1
Stopping driver entry... Failed <-- Status OK or Failed doesnt mean error
Deleting driver entry... Failed <-- Status OK or Failed doesnt mean error

2. Reboot
If it doesnt solve your problem, remove emulator from system by running
delnt.bat and reinstall emulator (see chapter 1)
4. Removing installation

1. Run delnt.bat
