May 12, 2010. Bandwidth Splitter v.1.33 for ISA Server 2000/2004/2006 and Forefront TMG 2010 released.
All versions for ISA Server 200x and Forefront TMG 2010 contain the following changes:
Improved performance that should result in reduced processor usage.
Improved connection handling to prevent possible bottlenecks under heavy load.
Updated bandwidth usage reports service and web application. Now they use .NET Framework 2.0 and support installation on 64-bit Windows systems.
If maximum database size is reached when adding banwdidth usage stats or creating reports, oldest stats are deleted to allow insertion of new data. (SQL Server Express limit is 4 GB per database, MSDE limit is 2 GB per database.)
Bandwidth Splitter Monitoring could show incorrect client computer names if clients use DHCP and their IP addresses change frequently. It happenned because of using cached DNS results. Fixed.
Changes specific to Bandwidth Splitter for ISA Server 200x:
Fixed few installation issues on Windows 2000.
Changes specific to Bandwidth Splitter for Forefront TMG 2010:
TMG Management console could crash at startup on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 if Bandwidth Splitter controls were selected last time you closed the console. Fixed.
Adding Windows Firewall rule on Windows Server 2008 R2 to allow connections to Bandwidth Splitter service from remote computers to enable intra-array synchronization of Bandwidth Splitter activity, and also to enable monitoring using remote TMG Management console.
Corrected documentation on configuring bandwidth usage reports (clarified configuration with SQL Server Express).

** If you are using ISA Server 2006, please make sure you installed ISA Server 2006 Service Pack 1 before installing Bandwidth Splitter. You can get it here.

System requirements
Bandwidth Splitter for Forefront TMG 2010 requires the following minimum system configuration to operate:
64-bit, dual-core processor
2 gigabytes or more of memory
Windows Server 2008 SP2 or Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system
Microsoft Forefront TMG 2010 Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition (RTM version or newer; Beta and RC versions are not supported)
Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 Service Pack 1
Bandwidth Splitter for ISA Server 2000/2004/2006 requires the following minimum system configuration to operate:
A 300 MHz Pentium II compatible processor
256 Mbytes of RAM
The Windows 2000 Server operating system (with the latest service pack) or Windows Server 2003
Microsoft ISA Server 2000/2004/2006 Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition with the latest service pack
If you are using antivirus software on TMG/ISA Server computer, it is recommended to follow the recomendations described in the article Considerations when using antivirus software on ISA Server before installing Bandwidth Splitter.
Installation instructions
If you already have previous version of Bandwidth Splitter installed, you don't have to remove it (it's not recommended) before installing the new version. The installer will automatically update all necessary modules, and preserve Bandwidth Splitter configuration.
Installation is easy and straightforward. Just unzip the installer executable file from downloaded archive and launch it on your server. Installation wizard will guide you through regular steps. Forefront TMG/ISA Server Firewall service will need to be restarted during installation (you will be prompted to confirm this restart). Server reboot is not required in most cases.
If you want to install Bandwidth Splitter in Forefront TMG/ISA Server array having multiple nodes, you need to repeat the installation on every array member computer, one by one. If you have dedicated Configuration Storage Server (CSS), you don't need to install Bandwidth Splitter server components on it. However you can install Administration add-on for Forefront TMG/ISA Server Management on it.
Bandwidth Splitter does not require installation of any software on client computers. However users may use special client monitor utility to track consuming bandwidth and traffic quota remainder in real-time. It can be run on any Windows system since Windows 95.

Uninstaller is included. You can completely uninstall Bandwidth Splitter at any time using "Add or Remove Programs" tool in Control Panel.
Free version limitations
Bandwidth Splitter allows free-of-charge use with up to ten (10) clients. This number should be quite enough to try all the features of Bandwidth Splitter and to determine if your network needs it. Then you can buy licence for necessary number of users. If ten clients are enough for you, you can continue using Bandwidth Splitter free of charge. However, you will not be entitled to technical support in the latter case.
